Relocating Largest Provider of Specialist Housing and Care

Bishop’s Move relocate Anchor Hanover, the largest provider for specialist housing and care for older people in England

Just before Christmas, Anchor Hanover, the largest not-for-profit provider of specialist housing and care for older people in England, contacted Bishop’s Move for their relocation services.

The office move was for 30 staff and from premises in Chippenham to a new London relocation. The relocation was to take just 2 days, with as little disruption to the workplace as possible. 

The second phase was the redistribution of office furniture to 16 separate care homes across the UK, as well as home offices (for employees working from home). Whilst the third and final phase was for the responsible recycling and disposal of any unwanted or end of life items.

To ensure that all aspects of this commercial relocation were carried out to the highest level, our experienced Move Managers consulted with Anchor Hanover on all aspects of the project including timescales, pre move planning and logistics.

At the time of the move the country was operating under a tier systems with varying social distancing measures in place for different counties. As many of the locations being delivered to were care homes it was important for out team to have, and follow, COVID-safe procedures at all times of the operation.
