We are sure that you will all have seen and listened to the PM’s latest briefing on the developing crisis arising from the global coronavirus pandemic. The message from the PM was absolutely clear and in a nutshell, the day to day life of the UK is now formally suspended for a period of at least 3 weeks. The question then arises for our clients what should happen with any moves that are either underway or booked to take place.
The recommendation from the British Association of Removers was that removal companies should only complete any moves that are underway. The Bishop's Move Group have taken the decision to follow the advice. We are very sorry as to the upset this may cause to those booked in for the future but it is equally evident that our absolute priority now must be on ensuring the safety of our staff and our customers, and of course their respective families.
For the first time in our 165 years of trading our warehouses will be closed from 5PM today (24th March, 2020).
Bishop's Move would like to thank all our loyal customers and we are looking forward to serving you again as soon as we are able.

Bishop & Sons’ Depositories was established in 1854 by Joseph James Bishop, who was a farm worker from Norfolk. Originally he came to London to join Robert Peel’s newly established police force but left this after a short time to open a green grocers in Elizabeth Street, London. It is from here that JJ developed the business to include general cartage. This soon evolved to moving and storing household furniture and effects, with a small yard in what was then the village of Pimlico, SW1.DISCOVER MORE
