Our International Move Co-ordinators will ensure you receive the best advice on your specific move to help you plan according to your needs and budget. Whether it’s a move to the UK from overseas or from a country outside the UK to another country.

Packing & Wrapping
We understand how precious your items are. All our export packing staff are trained to BAR standards and have access to a wide range of quality packing materials to ensure maximum protection for your items throughout their journey.
We will advise on the most suitable routing and transport options (air, sea and road) for your needs and budget, and let you know how your consignment can be tracked.
Customs Clearance & Red Tape
Take advantage of our many years’ experience of preparing international paperwork and dealing with complex customs regulations. We ensure all the import clearance paperwork is ready for presentation to customs prior to sending your effects, minimising stress and costly delays at destination.
Upon delivery we will cross check all items from the packing inventory and note their condition. We will place all items in the relevant rooms, unpack to available space, set up beds and non self-assembly furniture and remove packing debris at the time of delivery. Leaving you free to get on with settling into your new home.
Our modern, purpose-built warehouses are the secure answer if you decide to put some, or all, of your belongings into storage. Likewise, should you need to store your effects outside of the UK, we can arrange this too.
We offer a comprehensive range of shipping insurance options suitable for your needs and budget.
We can advise on all aspects of your move, including moving with cars, boats, pieces of art or even pets.
Our BAR trained packing team will carefully pack each item, making sure it is suitably wrapped and packed for shipment overseas.
Our mobile packing unit will arrive at your home equipped with the boxes and packing materials they need to export wrap and pack all your belongings. For each package, an inventory is clearly recorded, then depending on the size of the shipment and access, it is either taken away or loaded into a container at residence.
Delicate and Unusual Items
No matter how fragile or awkward the item, we have a carton or packing material to protect it. We professionally pack china and glassware, books and linen, paintings and mirrors, and much more.
Custom crates may be required for fragile or valuable items to provide added protection such as pianos, chandeliers, paintings and ornamental mirrors. Our surveyors will advise you about this.
MOVING OVER LAND OR SEA
Where possible, shipping by sea is the most cost effective method and suitable for larger moves. People often use a combination of deep sea transportation for items such as furniture, cars and the bulk of personal effects and then airfreight for essential items.
Full Container Loads
For larger loads, this service gives you the sole use of a metal 20ft or 40ft shipping container. This is the faster, direct option as there is no consolidation period. Containers can be loaded and sealed at your home, access permitting.
Our groupage service involves grouping together a number of small shipments sharing space in a metal container. This is the most economic service for smaller loads. Bishop’s Move operates regular groupage services from the UK to the most popular overseas destinations.
Less than a Container Load
This service is for urgently required consignments too small to fill a container, too large to send by air or perhaps to unusual destinations where a groupage service is not available. Your belongings are export wrapped and packed at your home, loaded into plywood cases back at our depot, then loaded into a metal container for shipping.
To most European destinations road freight is the quickest and most economical option. We offer two services:
If speed is the priority, then air freight is the best choice. This is the service for items you simply can’t do without on arrival, such as selected clothes and favourite children’s toys to help you settle in quickly.

Bishop’s Move is part of a dedicated group of companies within the British Association of Removers that specialises in all aspects of overseas removals. Members meet strict standards and subscribe to a financial bonding scheme to protect all pre-payments to the company.
Bishop’s Move is proud to be a FIDI member. FIDI is the world’s most prestigious network of quality certified international moving companies with over 500 members in over 100 countries.
Only a select few have achieved FAIM accreditation. Bishop’s Move values its membership through the accreditation of our London head office. FAIM accreditation is independently audited, covering a range of rigourous standards, including general quality, training, facilities, finances and insurance.

Bishop's Move Group has obtained an advance payment guarantee insurance from International Movers Mutual Insurance Company Limited (“the Guarantor”) in respect of international removals of household goods. In the event of the mover suffering financial failure and ceasing to trade the customer’s payments made in advance will be secured through provision of equivalent removal services by another contractor limited to 125% of original price OR full refund of proportion of advance payments made at time of mover ceasing to trade relating to moving services which have not been provided.
STORAGE AND MORE
Our modern, purpose built warehouses provide safe and secure solutions for all your storage requirements.
We can store the entire contents of your home or just a few specific items over a short or extended period of time. We pack and seal consignments in special wooden containers, and provide you with a full inventory. Our advanced retrieval systems enable us to locate your items quickly and efficiently when you need them.
All our containerised storage facilities and those offered by approved partner companies are purpose-built and designed to withstand the effects of fire and flood. They are clean, dry and are fully protected by sophisticated electronic alarm systems. Our vehicles have phones and the majority have state of the art satellite tracking systems enabling us to continually monitor our vehicles wherever they are allowing, you security and peace of mind.
We don’t just move household effects, we can also move cars and help with the paperwork.
We work with approved specialist carriers, who deal with the paperwork and injections, as well as ensuring your pets move in comfort. This service includes collecting pets from your home and transporting to your final destination.
We can offer help for tricky tasks such as hanging mirrors, pictures or non standard dismantling and reassembly.
We can do more than just assist you with your actual move, we also offer bespoke relocation services to include help finding homes, schools, doctors, and more at your new destination, taking the stress away from you.
