Our Devon based removals and storage branch, Bishop's Move Exeter is proud to support The Devon Air Ambulance Trust. As a registered charity, Devon Air Ambulance Trust (DAAT) provides 2 state-of-the-art Air Ambulances that offer essential emergency medical treatment in and around the county of Devon. The Air Ambulances are deployed if required via a specialist HEMS (helicopter emergency medical services) desk at the 999 control room of the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust call centre.  Devon’s Air Ambulances are able to reach 90% of Devon within just 10 minutes, with the remainder within 15 minutes.

Our removals and storage branch in Devon, uses the Bishop's Move's 'Declutter and Donate' scheme to collect unwanted small items that their customers discover when moving house and donate them direct to DAAT. This could be good quality pre-loved clothing, linen, shoes, accessories, childrens’ toys and games etc. These items are then sold to raise valuable finances for this life saving charity.

Discover how easy it is to declutter and donate!
As soon as you know you are moving house, you should arrange for a free moving survey from Bishop's Move Exeter. One of our moving consultants will then visit you at your home at your convenience to discuss your move. At this stage they will give you some donation sacks in which to put any items that you no longer need and wish to donate to DAAT. This is for you to declutter and fill at leisure. To find out what type of goods you can donate to DAAT click here. If you have larger items such as white goods (fridge freezers, washing machines etc … ) or furniture we can put you in touch with DAAT’s specialist furniture and electrical shop who also offer a collection service of these unwanted larger goods.

On the day of your move, your removal team will put the charity bags safely to one side whilst they pack and wrap the rest of your possessions up - they even have some spare donation sacks on board should you need any more. The crew will then bring the donated items back to the branch once they have left you settling in happily to your new home.  We will then arrange for these donations to get to DAAT so that they can be sold and raise much needed funds for this charity - and it's as simple as that! And if you’re a tax payer you can also make your donation of items to DAAT worth an extra 25p in the £1 via the Gift Aid scheme so everyone’s a winner!

DAAT’s vision is for an outstanding, independent and efficient Air Ambulance service, available to all in the county, 24 hours a day and you can play a part in helping keep them flying.

When you move house with Bishop's Move Exeter and take part in our 'Declutter and Donate' service you can ensure that you are helping DAAT achieve this vision as 100% of your donations go directly to them.
