Supporting SENSE

Bishop's Move Crawley works with the Charity SENSE

Bishop's Move Crawley is proud to be supporting SENSE, the national charity that supports people who are deafblind, have sensory impairments or complex needs, to enjoy more independent lives.

When moving house, many of our customers discover items that they no longer need or want, but are unsure what to do them! Bishop's Move Crawley can help you to declutter and donate these items to SENSE in Crawley.

It is easy to do - simply fill the donation bags that we will give you at your leisure, and then, on moving day, give these bags to the foreman of your move. They will then make sure that these items get delivered to the SENSE store, so that they can sort them to sell them to raise much needed funds for their vital work.

The only items that SENSE cannot collect are:

  • Any upholstered items that don't comply with the 1988 fire regulations. Anything that does contain flammable materials should have a label attached stating that it complies
  • Knives or any type of weapon
  • Gas appliances and bottles
  • Toys that do not have the CE mark for safety
  • Pianos
  • Wheelchairs
  • Bicycles

You can ensure that 100% of your donations will go directly to SENSE.

For over 60 years, has supported people in the UK who are deafblind, have sensory impairments or complex needs, to enjoy more independent lives. You can learn more about SENSE on their website - www.sense.org.uk
