Reasons to Move to Dublin
As the largest city in Ireland, with an urban population of +1.3 million, Dublin is a wonderful place to live, with much more to it than its pubs and Guinness. Dublin is divided up into various sectors; with the oldest being the Medieval Quarter which encorporates Dublin Castle and part of the original settement "Dub Lin", whilst the modern Tech Quarter, known as "Silicon Docks", is home to global giants Google, Facebook and Twitter, as well as smaller Irish tech companies, and many banks choosing Dublin for their EU headquarters, there is a wealth of employment opportunities.

Historically, Dublin has always been a creative city to live in, boosting Samuel Beckett, Bram Stoker and Oscar Wilde amongst the many writers, poets and playwrights who have been born there. Today, Dublin is known for its inspiring art museums and galleries from the National Gallery to the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA). There is also plenty of public art to be found throughout Dublin’s Docklands or the new urban space designed by Martha Schwartz at Grand Canal Square.

Where to Live in Dublin
When house hunting in Dublin, do not be afraid of looking further than the City Centre. Dalkey seems a sleepy seaside town with glorious coastline views, but comes alive at night. Portobello is a trendy, up-and-coming suburb. Dun Laoghaire is another charming seaside town to move to. Whilst Grafton Street and nearby has easy access to the city's restaurants, bars, museums and galleries.

The Moving Process
Moving to Dublin is very similar to moving house within the UK, except there is a ferry journey across the Irish Sea to undertake. Once you have decided that Dublin is to be your new home, get in touch with us to arrange your free home survey. It does not matter how early this survey is conducted, as getting removal quotes in early will help you to plan your Irish relocation in more detail.

On the actual moving day, our professionally trained removal men will arrive at your home to pack and wrap your items so that they are protected for transportation, and travel to your chosen port (usually Liverpool in the UK or Fishguard in Wales).

Once off the ferry, they will deliver your personal possessions direct to your new home, leaving you to settle in to your new Dublin surroundings.
